My heart was bumping. Excitement, joy, nervous for not knowing if it will fulfill my expectations. Everyone seems to be loving this place, but will I? Pastel houses rising up in the hill, limoncello and colorful Bougainville for romantic souls,… ahhh, what’s not to love!
All those things were in my head while we were driving to much anticipated Positano. Positano has been my dream for years, but it always kind of slip out of my bucket list. But not this year! 45 minutes bus drive from Sorrento started as it will be a long one, but once we moved to the coastal road overlooking the 50 shades of blue and Amalfi Coast, went by quickly. We stopped at Positano bus stop up on the hill. I was speechless.
Every tree, every rock, every bay seem to be there for a reason. And that reason is to capture it in a picture.
And I was so ready to explore. I had few spectacular places in my mind, but I wanted to find few of my owns, to help you lovelies out, when you decide to visit this magical place. Because, who are we kidding, we all want perfect pictures from Positano, right?
If you said yes, than this article is right for you. I searched for the most romantic, picture perfect places in Positano that you can visit in only one day! If you never been there, let me tell you, every corner of every street is perfect to capture. So prepare your camera and buy an extra memory card.
1. THE ICONIC FENCE
This is probably the most pictured place in Positano, since it offers a full view of the left part of the hill, plus it is free. Once you start walking from the bus stop to Positano city center, you will be walking along the fence that offers a view you must capture.
2. ROMANTIC LE SIRENUSE
This is probably the most Instagrammable hotel in Positano with the white fence and the iconic view up in the hill. For capturing the moment you will have to be a guest in this luxury hotel, but if you ask the front desk staff if you could visit upper balcony, they might let you in.

3. PANORAMIC BOAT VIEW
Panoramic boat view was something very high on my list to do for Positano. You will find many operators offering different kind of boat tours, most commonly a day trip to Capri, but we just wanted to capture this panoramic view, since we were traveling to Capri the day after anyway. So we decided to try our luck, went to the pier and ask first nice guy if he can help us out. And in few minutes this moment was captured.

4. SUNSET AT THE BEACH
Your Positano trip wouldn’t be perfect without putting your feet into Mediterranean Sea. Luckily the weather was worm, so the experience was lovely. If you would like to capture iconic hill from the beach, then I would recommend you to find this stone fence, that is perfectly located to on the left side of the beach.
5. MAGIC AT RISTORANTE TERAZZA CELE
Restaurant Terazza Cele is the place where you want to finish your one day trip to Positano, if only you just stop by for a glass of Rose. There is something special witnessing the sunset disappearing behind the picture perfect hill coloring the sky pink. Pure magic.
