You’ve heard it before, but I’ll say it again: Visiting the Amalfi Coast is a must! Whether you enjoy glam hotels, chic boutiques, fine dining and your morning coffee overlooking the sparkling blue sea, or you want to escape the coastal crowds and go on a hiking break with series of scenic walks along dramatic clifftops and through picturesque villages with pastel facades, Amalfi has it all.

Finding a perfect place to stay can be a daunting task as every little village is worth a visit, however many are so packed with tourists, that it seems impossible to find a peaceful spot to have you own ‘La dolce vita’ moment. I was lucky to find a perfect place and I’m happy to share it with you.

Modern and comfortable hotel for a peaceful stay on otherwise busy Italian coast!

LOCATION

I’ve found my tranquil spot at the Palazzo Murrano, in the fishing village of Marina di Aqua, conveniently placed between the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Peninsula. The location is comfortably distanced from main tourist attractions, so you can enjoy warm Mediterranean breeze without constant buzzing noise from the streets. It’s a perfect choice for all who wish for a quiet vacation or a good night rest for further exploring the beautiful Italian coast. Even though it is not in the center of touristy area, you can reach the islands and other more famous coastal cities easy, as the ferry is right in front of the hotel. How convenient!

DINNING

Breakfast is included with a stay and they offer healthy options including eggs prepared by the owner. For the dinner manager Alfonso recommended a restaurant called Torre Ferano, a restaurant located in the old rusty renovated tower not far from the hotel. Getting to the restaurant is quite challenging, as it is located up on the hill, but all the best views take a bit more effort in life. The restaurant is very cozy and unique and the food was delicious. As portions are quite large, three course meal was more than enough for us. We barely finished the dessert. The only thing I regret is not to book a restaurant few hours before, so we could still catch the beautiful sunset overlooking the Sorrento area.
