Hotel Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico, Rovinj *****

Recently opened hotel, located in the historic town centre of Rovinj, is a luxury new delight among hotels in Croatia. Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico Hotel is very intimate small luxury complex situated in a carefully restored building from 1920’s. From the moment you step through the doorway, you will notice pleasant atmosphere created by welcoming staff.

I have to say, I really enjoyed staying at this small property, as it was very peaceful, yet just few steps to the old town of Rovinj and its Riviera. I chose to collaborate with the hotel based on the good recommendations and positive critics, and once I got there, I was impressed by its style and uniqueness.

As the exterior of hotel is white and has light blue window shutters in the inner garden, it resembles a lot of greek architecture. For I moment I thought I was in Mykonos.

Hotel consists of three houses which form a coherent complex with inner garden and old fountain. It is tastefully designed and meets the needs of every modern guest. On the ground floor there is a reception, vine cellar and dinning area with a bar, when all of the rooms are located in upper floors. However, there is no pool area, but the closest city beach is just 5 minutes away.

LOCATION

Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico Hotel could not have better location. It is situated right in the center of old part of Rovinj, just few steps from Rovinj Town Museum, Trg Valdibora, and Franciscan Monastery. Marsala Tita Square and Town Clock are also within 5 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars around this area where you can relax and just observe the energy of this romantic city.

ROOMS

Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico Hotel offer 7 rooms furnished with custom pieces and traditional materials, which are named after streets of Rovinj. We were staying at Santa Croce room, 21 m² bright room on the top floor. It has a french bed and a a small modern bathroom with Chopard cosmetics, slippers and bathrobe. There is no balcony in Santa Croce, but it has a roof window and a small window with sea view and Eastern end of Rovinj’s old town. But all of the rooms are equipped with free wifi, flat screen TV, minibar and safe.

If you decide to book this hotel on your next Rovinj vacation, I would like to remind you that some of the rooms have terrace with the view over Adriatic sea, so do not forget to check that before you book a stay. The view is just lovely.

    

BREAKFAST AND BAR AREA

Breakfast at hotel was excellent and included in price. They offer many options, from omelets to cereals and fresh fruit. I loved the fact that they serve local products. At the ground floor there is also a bar area with a wine cellar, with excellent wine selection.

Inner garden is a perfect place to spend your evening with a glass of Prosecco in a good company.
